Dear michel,

my question is because it is cluster why it is not sharing. how to control the cpu utilization. And you know what cluster node is rebooting automatically for every one or two days might be because of CPU. It is a producation server i am in serious trouble. Please suggest.

Vijaykumar.

If one process is using 99% of the CPU then this process cannot be shared across server, it is a lone one and there is no half-process.

If you are running Enterprise Edition RAC, you can limit CPU with the Resource Manager. It is quite possible that the node evictions are because of CPU usage, so you must do this. Setting the css priority might also help, raise it to the maximum if that has not been done already.
Alternatively, if the CPU usage is high because sessions are not being balanced across both nodes, you will need to investigate the connect time load balancing that you have set up.

Note that this is John not me that suggest you that.
I think you can but I advise you to ask your sysadmin.

Michel
