hi All,

My question may be silly,but i want to know is there any way/tool to connect to RAC on single node (currently i have 3 nodes) when they client login till session end.

in current situation when we are loggining in client application..we are connecting to Node-1,but while working some times my session connecting to NODE-2 also..so it is creating me problem somes times like error ORA-2049.because at a same time i am inserting into two tables which are dependent (PK & FK).so it is holding lock.i tried differnet ways but i didn't succeed.now we don't have time to change application also.
so i need other solutions to restrict client application to connect to only one node till session ends on RAC Database(3 node configuration)

The answer is simple: connect to a service running on only one instance. However, that will not solve your problem. Row and table locking issues will remain, no matter where your sessions are connected. It is not RAC releated.

Hi John,

In Standlaone db i don't have any problem.when we moved to RAC DB we are getting error.
So i tried different ways to solve.but i failed.
So i am trying any way to connect to only one node till the session end from application?

Ah. Same answer: create and use an appropriately configured service.
Do you actually know what a service is? I shall ignore this topic (and any others that look related) until you show some evidence that you have looked into the offered solutions.

Now i tried one more solution...
Now I disabled & enabled foreign keys of Table .
Now i am not getting error.
