Hi,
I've been searching for the iSCSI requirements for running Oracle 10GR2 RAC. I've read in several places (http://www.oracle-training.cc/grid_138.htm and http://www.fast-track.cc/teas_ft_rac07.htm although they refer to clusters in a grid) that the iSCSI system has to support SCSI RESERVE/RELEASE ops and wanted to confirm this. More specifically:

a. Does the ISCSI target have to support this and is this needed for normal RAC operation?

OR

b. Is this only needed in the scenario where the communications between the two nodes (the heartbeat) is severed?

Thanks for your help.
